Woods Forest was the 76th forest established by Roger Dickie (N.Z.) Ltd.

Woods forest was established in 2001 using GF 22 Radiata Pine seedlings and has a total planted area of 360.3 Hectares. The forest has been pruned to 6.5 meters and has been thinned.

The forest is located on Bushy Knoll road in the district of Hangaroa 57kms from the city and port of Gisborne.
